Currently up for adoption

My rats are adoptable throughout New england, transportation is negotiable.  All rats come with a care guide, birth certificate and fact sheet.   Rats are  $8 , $10 for a pair.  Adult rats are free as I keep them at my own cost and want them to find good homes someday.  The purpose of my breeding is to cultivate tame, loving pets who will bring around Mainers to the fact that rats are SUPER pets.  I have found no pet stores that breed rats as pets in Maine and very few rat fanciers.  This needs to change.  Maine weather makes it difficult to keep outdoor pets and the economy is too poor to keep expensive pets so rats should be much more popular than they currently are.  Money collected from these adoptions will be put toward future litters being offered with veterinarian certified health certificates.  Care of my rats comes purely from my own paycheck.

The kids are growing up gorgeous and ready for new homes.  They are have all been weaned and gender separated for a week now.  One male beige hooded has an infection and is quarantined (poor little bugger whips around in circles so fast he flips up backwards from the speed) I'm pumping him with the meds and he seems otherwise very healthy. He'll be staying with me. Another little black hooded male is runty and not very healthy so he is with me 24/7 (shh, don't tell work) and getting pumped with food, water, vitamins and meds and is also not adoptable.  The rest are super strong and pretty. Available are: One standard ruby eyed beige male (very sweet) two half-rex ruby eyed beige males (one a real chubbers who is so full of love you can see it and feel it, it's almost cosmic!) Two black hooded females, one mismarked beige hooded female (cuddly and clever) one ruby eyed beige female (fun, friendly and sweet) and three black hooded males.
I will be posting separate pictures and profiles on them all 01/09.

Do you love rats? I do! While the west coast is building an awesome network of rat clubs such as the AFRMC and the NRMC the east coat is struggling to build a network of rat lovers. I want to see Maine join that network in our own little way. If you too would like to be part of our own Maine Rat Lovers Society go to http://www.bitsofmainerattery.com/fancyratsocietyofmaine/id3.html
and let me know to receive my monthly newsletter. Just to have your name as a rat lover who receives the newsletter will make our club that much more successful. We don't need money and we don't need your time, just your love of your ratty family member.>
